Valtera Director Shares Expertise on Working Globally with Melbourne HR Practitioners

Rolling Meadows, IL (March 18 2011) – Kyle Lundby, Valtera Director, Asia Pacific Region, spoke on Thursday, March 17 to the Melbourne HR Networking Group. A recognised expert on global organizations, Dr. Lundby was invited to speak on “Challenges and Opportunities for HR and OD Practitioners in a Global Economy.”
In his presentation, Dr. Lundby discussed the changing nature of global work and several critical competencies for HR leaders to be successful in these complex and dynamic organizations. In addition, he shared recent findings from Valtera’s latest global research, including trends on engagement and employee attitudes across a number of Asian countries. Based both on his personal experience as an expatriate in Hong Kong as well as his extensive professional research and experience, Dr. Lundby shared tips for HR practitioners working in global organisations.
Dr. Lundby has extensive experience in the areas of employee surveys and linkage research, multi-rater feedback processes, change management, and leadership assessment and development. He has authored extensively on the topic of employee attitudes, and recently published Going Global: Practical Applications and Recommendations for HR and OD Professionals in the Global Workplace (Jossey-Bass, 2010). Dr. Lundby holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The University of Tennessee and a Master’s from San Diego State University, and is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).
