Rolling Meadows, IL (March 11, 2011) – William H. Macey, Valtera President and CEO, spoke on Thursday, March 10 to the Division of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (DIOP) of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. A recognised expert on employee engagement, Dr. Macey was invited to speak on “Employee Engagement, Organisational Culture, and Leadership Behaviour.”
In his presentation, Dr. Macey shared his expertise on the impact of employee engagement on crucial organisational metrics such as customer service and profitability. He also presented key findings from Valtera’s cutting-edge proprietary research, including trends in employee satisfaction and the impact of business practices on employee satisfaction and engagement. In addition, Dr. Macey discussed the role that organisational culture plays in facilitating or inhibiting engagement, describing the necessary conditions for success and potential risks to an engagement strategy.
Dr. Macey has worked with many Fortune 500 companies in developing and implementing their survey programs. He has authored extensively on the topic of employee engagement, including Employee Engagement: Tools for Analysis, Practice, and Competitive Advantage (Blackwell Press, 2009). He is a licensed Psychologist in the State of Illinois, a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).
