Valtera Managing Principal Presents Workshop: "Ethics and the Practice of I-O Psychology"
Dr. Nancy Tippins, Managing Principal of Valtera Corporation (formerly PRA) held a half-day workshop with Dr. S. Morton McPhail, Jeanneret & Associates, Dr. Greg Gormanous, Louisiana State University-Alexandria, and Dr. Gloria M. Pereira, University of Houston-Clear Lake Company at the 20th Annual Conference of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).
The workshop, entitled "Ethics and the Practice of I-O Psychology" centered around the 2002 APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct and how it applies to the work of I-O psychologists.
Attendees left with an understanding of how to analyze situations and make ethical decisions in diverse and changing practical situations.
The 20th Annual Conference of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) is held April 14-17 in Los Angeles. The conference attracted more than 3,000 of the world's leading workplace scientists.
SIOP is an international group of 6,000 industrial-organizational psychologists whose members study and apply scientific principles concerning people in the workplace.
