Simulations are tests that require the candidate to complete a sample of work performed on the job that is evaluated by trained assessors. For example, a simulation might involve repairing a piece of electronic equipment, and the repairs would be evaluated in terms of the extent to which the problems were found and fixed properly and safe practices were used. A simulation might also involve a role play. For example, a candidate might be asked to play the role of a supervisor and talk to a poor performing subordinate. The candidate’s performance on such a role play would be evaluated on dimensions that are relevant to the job such as listening skills, coaching skills, etc.
Valtera consultants will work with you to design and implement simulations that are right for your hiring or promotion needs.
